Ariel's Taqueria (Tacos Ariel)
About This Spot
Stepping into Ariel’s Taqueria feels like walking into a familiar corner of town where time slows just enough to savor something simple, honest, and made with care. This small, tucked-away spot on Nob Hill Boulevard wraps you in the warm bustle of an old favorite—a place where the steady rhythm of the grill and the friendly nod from the owner set the tone for a quietly comforting visit.
The mood here is unpretentious, the pace gently lively but never rushed. It’s the kind of taqueria where conversations drift between shared memories and the enticing smells of fresh tortillas and sizzling meat. There’s a clear intention behind every order, reflecting decades of hands-on experience and an evident pride in bringing authentic flavors to Yakima’s streets. While the space is modest, it’s clean and inviting, making room for those who crave not just a quick bite but a genuine connection to place and tradition.
What lingers most isn’t just the food itself, but how the moment feels. The tacos emerge one by one, each wrapped in fresh corn tortillas and topped with bright, vibrant salsas that speak to recipes handed down and fine-tuned over time. The careful layering of meats—whether it’s the richly seasoned al pastor or the tender asada—invites you to slow down, to taste beyond the surface and appreciate the balance of textures and spices. The condiments perched on the counter, from fiery salsas to cooling crema, are the final touches that turn a simple meal into an experience. Nearby, the soft hum of casual chatter underscores the feeling that Ariel’s isn’t just a stop for food, but a small hub for community anecdotes and shared moments.
If you find yourself visiting with a little patience and an appetite for authenticity, you’ll leave with more than a full stomach. Ariel’s Taqueria offers a kind of neighborhood culinary embrace—warm, approachable, and grounded in the everyday joys of good food made well.

Been coming to this man since I was a kid with my dad, now I’m repeating it with my son. My taste buds are still 100% in favor of his food. very affordable let’s just say this the man knows what he’s doing and he was sold out of tortas today.

Feel good restaurant. One man show. I recommend calling ahead of time to place your order if you don't want to wait. Tacos were great and on par with the other good ones in town. Everything except the salsa are made to order. The food is definitely reminiscent of those of taco trucks, but the ingredients feel fresher and cleaner. I thought overall the meat could use a little more salt. One of the more affordable taco restaurants in town but Ariel's don't cheap out on quality.

The only downside is tight parking in behind the building. Other than that, the food is absolutely worth seeking this place out. And very reasonable, generous and fresh. Special shout out to their red and green sauces. And remember this is a taqueria, not linen top fine dining. Photos I should put a

A teeny place (but with a clean dining area and restroom) that makes absolutely delicious food at great prices. The owner made our food with care. I am sad that we don't live closer!

You could tell these tacos were made with love. He has a small specific menu which is amazing because then you know he is dedicated to each meat and spends time perfecting it. I got the lengua, tripe, asada, and adobada! Best tacos in Yakima! Would totally recommend.

Awesome little place for tacos and burritos! Street taco style with a decent amount of meat. The 5 chicken and pork are so good! The owner is so friendly, and it reminds me of small taco places in Cali. Parking is a little tricky, it's in the back with a one way in one way out driveway. They also recived the readers choice awards for a few year. Definitely a place to try!
